Leawo SWF Compressor for Mac User Guide
Leawo SWF Compressor for Mac is a powerful feature-rich Flash optimizer for Mac users to compress SWF files for smaller size and reasonable quality. With its advanced Flash optimization algorithms and detailed Flash compression settings, you can successfully compress images, shapes, sounds, videos and fonts of any SWF file to reduce its size by up to 70%. It offers you total control over the SWF optimization settings so you can choose to either apply predefined SWF compression settings or modify every compression parameter yourself as you want.
To save your time, this Mac SWF optimizer brings batch SWF files compression function. Besides, you can save your own settings as new profiles for future usage, so that you won’t need to adjust the compression settings again.

Advanced Settings
Compress SWF
Step 1Add SWF files
Run Leawo SWF Compressor for Mac and you will see the start interface. You can drag and drop SWF files to input or click the “Add” button to load SWF files to the program.
The SWF files you added to this Mac SWF Compressor will be show at left in process list panel. At the right side, you can see a brief compression rate for these SWF files.
Step 2Pre-settings
Six pre-settings are embedded in this SWF optimizing tool for different purposes. Click “Pre-settings” and choose a predefined compression setting for your SWF files. “Best” is what we recommended for the smallest output with optimal quality.
Step 3Compress
Click “Compress” button and the compression task begins. You will see clearly the processing status of each SWF file in the task list.
Advanced Settings
Besides the 6 pre-settings, you can also Click “Show More Options” button to show more SWF compression settings, which are delicately designed to compress Image, Shape, Sound, Video and Font in SWF files.
1. Image compression
By optimizing images in SWF files, you can reduce the SWF file size.
Delete metadata: Delete metadata like author details, date, time, etc.
Force to jpeg: Force PNG, BMP, or GIF format into JPEG to save space.
Delete invisible area: Delete the invisible area of an image in SWF file.
Intelligent optimization: Replace image color and alpha channel with simpler approximator.
Image quality: Zoom out the image or customize compression ratio to reduce the SWF file size.
2. Shape compression
Truncate shapes by removing or replacing groups of shapes with optimized ones to reduce the SWF file size.
Intelligent morphing optimization: Intelligent adjust the smoothness of morph.
Intelligent delete useless points: Remove intermediate points that are not crucial for the SWF movie.
Quality focussed optimization: Adopt the optimal algorithm to keep the original shape quality.
Line optimization: Replace original curve with more or less identical line.
Edge detail optimization: Replace the curve edge with an extending angle.
3. Sound compression
By optimizing sound in SWF files, you can reduce the SWF file size.
Encoding: Choose CBR, VBR or ABR encoding to your need.
Quality: Choose the quality level or custom sound bitrate yourself to control the output size.
Sound Channel: Keep stereo or force sound channel to mono.
4. Video compression
By optimizing video in SWF files, you can reduce the SWF file size.
Video size: Custom the output video size according to the player.
Quality: Choose the quality level or custom video bitrate yourself.
5. Font compression
Each time you use a new font, you embed a new set of characters. So use too many fonts in the SWF file could increase the file size.
Custom compression ratio: Drag the slider to adjust the compression ratio.
